My biggest influence?
My dad. He was my first teacher for all things handy. He taught me how to do things right and to take the time to make it look good. He showed me how to solder a copper pipe and wire an outlet. He taught me the right technique for painting with a brush and how to change all four tires on the car (that, I’m sure, was because he didn’t want to). I grew up not realizing that there were people in the world that you could hire to fix your toilet or remodel the kitchen or paint the bedroom. He did it all! And he showed me along the way. I owe a lot of my skills and eye for quality to him. Thanks Dad! Roger Ecklund 1933-2012
