We talk a fair bit about checking crawlspaces here at AmyWorks.
While that is important, it's also important to check the perimeter of your house's exterior...I have a couple of things you're going to want to check for ...especially before the rains come.
This little weed has no business growing just inside the crawlspace. A spray of salt & vinegar water mixture (or something stronger) will take care of this. But it looks like the hardware cloth needs to be replaced anyway....see how the vertical wood slat on the far left is pulling away from the house and creating an opening? Best to just re-do this little piece and get that weed outta there!
Speaking of openings...
This cable wire does need to have access to the outside, but the space just under the wire needs to be closed back up. Even though it's just about 1.5" - 2" long, it's still mouse sized. You don't want them livin' there.
So, replace the hardware cloth and better secure the exterior of your home. Especially before the rains come & the critters start looking for "their new home"...this is an easy minor-tool fix (a pair of metal shears & a good staple gun will usually do the trick) and will help to deter unwanted pests.
