Last weekend marked a major first! Team AmyWorks hit their pedals -donned in fantastic cycle gear!- and rode 160 miles in the Bike MS: Deception Pass Classic 2014.
It was weeks of training (after & aside from home repairs & fixes) and then some.
All riders survived the heat and sore body parts. Only one crash and made it in before the sweeper van.
Riders were: Alicia Healey, Stacey Sorgen, Seujan Bertram and myself.
Your donations and support - in all the ways made this ride a real work of heart.
All in all a grrreat weekend for an amazing cause.
Just a bit about Multiple Sclerosis from
Seujan's MS Ride donation page:
"MS is a chronic disease of the central nervous system. People with MS are usually diagnosed between the ages of 20-50 and face unpredictable symptoms that can include numbness, blurred vision, paralysis and blindness. The MS Society helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people living with MS and their families move their lives forward."
