I installed one of those PermaFlow Never Clog Drain things the other day, what do you think of them? Do you ever install them for clients? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0021L9BXS/ref=ox_ya_os_product
I have never installed on of these. I've seen them and wondered how well they work. Let me know what you think.
Several months ago, the plumber hired by the building manager (Royal Crest condos) unplugged the drain downstream from my bathroom sink, not the trap, which was clear. Apparently, the drop for a few feet is only gradual, allowing a buildup of crap in the pipe. After he was through clearing the buildup, he advised me, every few months, to pour a cup of bleach down the drain immediately follow by hot water. What do you think of this solution?
I think that's a great idea in your situation where the pipes were apparently not installed with the right slope. I don't like pouring chemicals down the drain if it can be avoided but in your case you're dealing with an install problem.
